Royal Doulton Soldiers of the American Revolution Royal Doulton Soldiers of the American Revolution, Limited Edition set. 350 sets were made by Royal Doulton of these exquisitely detailed soldiers. One distinctive soldier represents each of the original colonies, meaning there are a total of 13 of these soldiers in this complete numbered set. On the bottom of the base of each soldier is the specific detail pertaining to that soldier including the limited edition number of this set. Each soldier has its own certificate of authenticity signed by the sculptor along with the story about the regiment/unit assignment of the soldier. Height of each of these magnificent soldiers varies but generally they average about 11" with the one who represents Virginia stands at 15".

Hello~ I have a beautiful handled bowl with little Putti's setting on each handle.the finial on the lid is a world globe with a putti standing on that with a fish net he has draped around the globe. below the bowl there are four small angel bust and they are above four gargoyle's that adorn a ball that sets on a column. The column rises from the base that has a man, a woman and a baby putti on three sides chainged together. also the opposite side has a baby putti not in chains, The base stands on four legs that appear to be acanthus leaf's. between each foot there are a pair of face of a man and woman hanging from a peg by their hair.this beauty stands 25" tall and marked on the bottom Doulton Burslem below a crown and England below that. The other reads Worlds Chicago Fair against 1893. Also the bowl is signed Ch Labarre. I would like to hear any information you can give about this item. Or some direction to links on the web that may help with my search. i can sent a picture if requested. Jim Hull

Goucestershire, United Kingdom - Monday, June 16, 2008 at 19:12:44 (GMT/BST)
I have a urn shaped table lamp. It has Beswick Ware. Made in England inside the base. I beleive it was made in the 1930's. It is about 18" high. It is hand painted with chrysanthemum type flowers and leaf effect around the base. It has the hole for the wire in the base. This was done in the original making of the lamp. It is varnished. The main colours are bright blues and greens. Did Beswick make electrical items? Can anyone give me any information?
